Begin your tour at the local partner’s office located in central Madrid. Ride in an air-conditioned coach to Castilla la Mancha. Discover La Mancha, the homeland of Don Quixote. Visit Belmonte, Mota del Cuervo and the village of El Toboso. Enter Belmonte Castle. Admire its impressive Gothic-Mudejar style. Learn about what life was like for Medieval Knights. Get to know the area which inspired Don Quixote. Journey to the village of Mota del Cuervo. There, you will visit the windmills that were immortalized in Cervantes' masterpiece. Be careful not to mistake them for giants. If the wind blows, you’ll be able to witness traditional milling techniques. Visit El Toboso, the village where Don Quixote fell madly in love with Dulcinea. Explore the House-Museum of Dulcinea del Toboso, which faithfully replicates the home of a country nobleman of Cervantes-era. After your visit, you will head back to Belmonte, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a typical Mesón (at your own expense). Afterwards, return to Madrid.
